Why Thursdays? Because We Know Our Community.

The Westport Farmers’ Market was created with one goal: to serve our community — farmers, chefs, and neighbors alike.

We chose Thursday because we listened. Farmers needed a strong midweek market to support their weekly flow. Chefs wanted access to the best local ingredients before the weekend rush. And many in our community — especially those who work weekends — needed a market that fit their lives.

By not overlapping with weekend markets in surrounding towns, we help farmers reach more people, and ensure Westport gets the best of the best. It’s about collaboration, not competition — building a local food system that works for everyone.
